Draner (real name Jules Joseph Georges Renard), born in Liège (1833) and died in Paris (1926), was a Belgian cartoonist and caricaturist. 

In 1861, he was transferred to Paris, where he worked with a number of Parisian illustrated newspapers: Le Charivari, L'Éclipse, Paris-Comique, L'Illustration, Le Monde Illustré and Le Journal pour rire.

Specialising in military caricatures, he illustrated numerous books, notably on the siege of Paris. He is best known for his series of 136 coloured lithographs of military caricatures Military types
