First edition of this fairly accurate biography of Marshal Abraham Fabert (1599-1662) also governor of the principality of Sedan. Fabert mainly distinguished himself at the siege of La Rochelle and during the Thirty Years' War on the multiple fronts of this interminable war in Savoy, in Piedmont, at the sieges of Saverne, Arras, Collioure, Perpignan and Stenay . Binding slightly rubbed, corners bumped, otherwise good condition.
